ProposalDescription:

Proposed alterations and additions to Erf 982 & 985, 27 & 31 Coronation Road , Malvern , Queensburgh, eThekwini, KwaZulu- Natal, Drawing No: DH001, DH002, DH003 & DH004 - Expired Permit:18-074a. Re-application to the KwaZulu-Natal Amafa and Research Institute for an expired permit. New permit number:2022-02-02a

Expanded_Motivation:

The permit for Erf 982 & 985, 27 & 31 Coronation Road was approved in June 2018 and expired in June 2021. The church has taken a long time to raise the funds to start the project due to the cost of the alterations and additions. The church was also affected by the covid 19 pandemic in the last 2 years and fundraising efforts came to a halt. The application remains the same. The church building on 27 Coronation Road which is more than 100 years old and faces the street will be retained. The existing dining hall to the rear of the site will be demolished to make way for a larger church/ dining hall. On 31 Coronation road, the existing house to the rear of the site will be maintained and retained including the tree in front of the house according to previously approved permit conditions.
