Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The building has suffered damage due to lack of maintenance, roof leaks and usage. The Department of Works wishes to repair damage, restore finishes and replace damaged materials. The new users (Dpt of Transport) require storage facilities and offices with the associated upgraded services and networking. Building A and C: Proposed conversion of existing boarding house to offices Building B : Conversion of ground floor to offices, new mezzanine for storage racks Building D : Conversion of hall to Bulk storage Building E : Conversion of building to offices/ training Building F : Demolish existing Ablutions, build new ablution block. Buildings G and H : proposed demolition of toilet block and rebuild office and toilets. Building J : proposed cleaners toilets and rest room in existing building Building X : Proposed new building in existing parking – see two proposed elevational treatments. Refer to the “Needs assessment” (DWG002/003) plans for DPT requirements and department usage. New building proposed in the existing yard/parking area to accommodate meeting rooms(first floor) and covered parking (ground floor) with an internal link at first floor level to existing buildings.
