ProposalDescription:

PROPOSED ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING BUILDING FOR NEW MULTI-STOREY ACCOMMODATION ON ERF 5021 DURBAN, 13 J B MARKS ROAD, GLENWOOD, DURBAN, ETHEKWINI, KWAZULU-NATAL. DRAWING 6717/23

Expanded_Motivation:

ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO EXISTING BUILDING WITH 3 ADDITIONAL FLOORS ABOVE. THE GROUND STOREY BAY WINDOW HAS BEEN RETAINED WITH THE WRAP AROUND VERANDA AND THE VERANDA HAS BEEN REPEATED TO THE ADDITIONAL FLOORS ABOVE TO RETAIN THE ORIGINAL ARCJITECTURAL FEATURES WHICH COMPLIMENTS THE EXISTING BUILDING ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WITH A SIMILAR ROOF DESIGN. TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE BUILDING IS A MODERN 3 STOREY BLOCK. PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THERE ARE ONLY 2 SINGLE STOREY BUILDINGS IN THIS ROAD AND ALL THE OTHERS ARE MULTIPLE STOREYS / FLATS THEREFORE OUR PROPOSAL WILL BLEND IN WITH THE EXISTING STREETSCAPE WHICH CAN BE SEEN ON ATTACHED PHOTOGRAPHS. PLEASE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT OUR BUILDING TOGETHER WITH THE BUILDING ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE ARE BOTH OF A SIMILAR DESIGN. THEY BOTH HAVE BEEN VACANT FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE OWNERS CANNOT CONTINUE HAVING 24 HOUR SECURITY TO STOP VANDALISATION TO THESE BUILDINGS.
