Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

Special Notice

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Proposed Activity: Emoyeni Wind Farm Renewable Energy (Pty) Ltd intends to develop the authorised Iziduli Emoyeni Wind Energy Facility (previously referred to as Amakhala Emoyeni Phase 4) (DEA Ref: 12/12/20/1754/4). In support of the Iziduli Emoyeni Wind Energy Facility development, the following ancillary infrastructure will require environmental authorisation: » Construction of new access roads and the widening of the existing on-site access roads (from 6m to 9m in width); and » Widening and upgrading of four watercourse crossings. Location: The proposed access roads and watercourse crossings are located within the authorised Iziduli Emoyeni Wind Energy Facility development footprint, located approximately 26km south of Bedford within the Blue Crane Route Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape. The following properties will be affected: » Remainder of Portion 1, Portion 2 (a Portion of Portion 1) and the Remainder of the Farm Brakke Fonteyn No 218; » The Farm Vogel Fonteyn No 219; and » Remainder of the Farm Brakfontein No 220.
